Hello there! My name is Alina Diaz, and I am thrilled to have joined the ISR swim instructor community in 2023. After witnessing the incredible impact ISR lessons had on my two youngest children, I knew I wanted to become an instructor myself. Originally from sunny southern California, I spent some time in Texas where the importance of ISR resonated with me after a nearby swimming incident. I have since returned to California, where I feel at home surrounded by the beach and water, a place I’ve always cherished.

I am a proud mother of three wonderful children – two girls and a boy – and happily married to a firefighter paramedic. Interestingly, my journey with water began early as my first job was as a lifeguard at Raging Waters. This experience fueled my passion for teaching children to swim, and now, with our backyard pool nestled in Sierra Madre, I am excited to provide a secluded and ideal environment for children to learn this life-saving skill. Like the two incredible instructors who taught me, I am committed to making every child’s swimming experience successful and ensuring their families have a positive journey alongside us.
